Now widely used as a business term, the OODA loop (Observe → Orient → Decide → Act) was originally devised by a U.S. Air Force officer who served in the Korean War. This book’s distinctive layout layers together a succession of motifs—cloud seas, skies, weapons, aircraft, and scenes from everyday life during wartime—almost as if visually reenacting the “rapid decision-making on the battlefield” that the OODA loop made possible.
