This is the long-awaited second volume of an anthology of editing theory by Kaitaro Tsuno, who has led the culture of the times as an editor, mainly at Shobunsha, and has run through the era of tent theater to the century of computers.
Why do the writings of a legendary editor over the course of nearly half a century resonate in the present? Following the much-talked-about anthology "Editing Proposals" (2022), which collected Tsuno's texts, this book, which contains many works not previously published in hardcover, is a groundbreaking approach. Tsurumi Shunsuke's "errorism," a "movement" spanning tent theater and the internet, and questions he asks of himself and others regarding the work of editing shed light on the dark clouds of our times.
Thoughts in motion. Tsuno's words, as if they had just been taken out of a pocket, are endlessly concrete and practical. That is why I think they open the sensibilities of readers across time.
